Raoul A. Arreola, Ph.D.

Raoul A. Arreola received his doctorate in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University in 1969 focusing in the areas of research design, measurement and evaluation. He also holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics and physical sciences. He has spent the last 36 years working primarily in the areas of instructional evaluation and development, faculty evaluation and development, and the use of technology in higher education. Previous to coming to UTHSC he served on the faculty of Florida State University and the University of Memphis.

In 1983 he joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and has taught courses in statistics, educational technology, college teaching techniques, and academic administrative leadership. He has also served in several administrative postions including, most recently, Director of Institutional Research, Assessment and Planning.

Raoul A. Arreola is married to Dr. Mona J. Arreola who holds the position of Administrative Director of the Hematology/Oncology Department at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. They have four grown children and 8 grandchildren (so far).
