Research

Residents and and attending physicians are involved in both clinical and basic science research throughout the department of Surgery. With federal and private funding, faculty and residents are supported in their academic endeavors to advance patient care through scientific discovery. Though clinical research is conducted amongst the various divisions of the department, three laboratories are dedicated to basic science research.
