ADVANCED WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE FELLOWSHIP
MISSION STATEMENT
To improve the abilities of Family Physicians to provide competent,
appropriate obstetrical and office gynecological care.
To impart the skills necessary to recognize, stabilize, and appropriately
manage unforeseeable events and emergencies which may arise during pregnancy,
delivery and postpartum.
VISION
The vision of this program is to provide an academic setting for the
training and experience necessary for our graduates to provide office
gynecological and obstetrical care for women-particularly those in rural and
non-urban settings.

The UT/Saint Francis Advanced Women's Health Care Fellowship
We are located in East Memphis, Tennessee. The Fellowship offers
graduation in one plus years. The OB Fellows serve as junior faculty and
instructors to the residency program and receive instruction in OB ultrasound
and C-section training.
The Fellows have responsibilities as attending faculty on the inpatient
medicine service and OB service at Saint Francis Hospital and as preceptors in
the Family Practice Center. They also rotate at The Regional Medical
Center with the Department of OB/GYN. They take call at Saint Francis
Hospital. In addition to these responsibilities, the Fellows are scheduled to
see a panel of patients on regular basis in the Family Practice Center.
