Protocol Submission
The Animal Care and Use Committee has adopted a web-based format for submission of animal research protocols to:
1. help investigators maintain up-to-date protocol information;
2. tailor the requested information to the specific needs of the investigator;
3. facilitate institutional review and approval of protocols;
4. be responsive to evolving research paradigms.
The portal to the web-based form can be reached at https://nhcomp.utmem.edu:8443/IACUC_Protocols/login
Legal issues require that each investigator complete their own form.
There are several features to help you fill out the form:
· Suggestions about how to proceed can be found by clicking on the icon.
· Information explaining specific needs for each form page can be found by clicking on the icon.
· Form fields for anesthetics and analgesics offer suggestions for drug, route, and dose that are based on current veterinary practice. These suggestions can be used to automatically fill in these fields.
