SUMMARY OF TRAINING PROGRAM

PGY-1 RESIDENCY YEAR**

4 months

Internal Medicine or

Pediatrics

6 months

Inpatient Psychiatry

2 months

Neurology

** 1/2 day per week long term VA med-psych outpatient clinic

 

PGY-2 RESIDENCY YEAR**
6 months

Adult Inpatient Psychiatry		 2 months

Private Hospital Inpatient and Emergency Psychiatry		 2 months

Neuropsychiatry

 2 months

Adult Chemical Dependency or Consultation and Liaison including Emergency Psychiatry
** 2 hours per week long-term outpatient psychotherapy, 1/2 day per week long term
VA med-psych outpatient clinic

 

PGY-3 RESIDENCY YEAR

12 months Outpatient Psychiatry

Including VA Mental Hygiene Clinic and family therapy with children and adolescents

 

PGY-4 RESIDENCY YEAR

4 months

Adult Substance Abuse and/or Consult and Liaison Psychiatry including Emergency Psychiatry

2 months

Child/Adolescent

1 month

Geropsychiatry

1 month

Community Mental Health

4 months

Elective

** 2 hours per week long-term outpatient psychotherapy
