MISSION
- Offer educational programs (professional, graduate, post-graduate, and continuing pharmacy education) that produce knowledgeable, skilled, and caring pharmacists prepared to optimize medication therapy, promote healthy lifestyles, and pursue pharmaceutical research and education;
- Provide leadership in the practice of Pharmacy by the development and application of policies and practices that maximize the selection, safety, and effectiveness of medications on human health through independent and collaborative patient care services;
- Conduct a scholarly and scientific program of discovery resulting in the design, development and production, utilization, and outcomes evaluation of medicines that prevent or treat disease and injury; and
- Serve as an outreach resource on the developments, policies and practices related to the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medications for the benefit of the citizens, health care professionals, and policy-makers of Tennessee and beyond.
