RESEARCH TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREA OF LIPIDS, LIPOPROTEIN METABOLISM AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

Several postdoctoral positions are available on a NIH-funded interdisciplinary training grant are available to individuals interested in intracellular signaling, gene transcription, mitogenesis, lipid metabolism and several other biological processes involved in a variety of cardiovascular diseases. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in the laboratory of one of the 15 preceptors in the Departments of Medicine, Pharmacology, and Physiology. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Candidates must have a M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree in one of the biological sciences. Minorities and women are especially encouraged to apply. POSTDOCTORAL POSITION to study transmembrane receptor mediated signal transduction mechanisms involved in the regulation of phospholipases coupled to the release of arachidonic acid and its contribution to vascular biology including hyperplasia and hypertrophy.  Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have a Ph.D., M.D. or D.V.M. degree with experience in cell culture and molecular biology.  Please send curriculum vitae and the names of three references to:  Dr. K.
