Dr. Matthew Eison

On July 1, 2008, Dr. Matthew Eison began his first year of training in pediatric nephrology at the UTHSC. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000. He completed his pediatric residency at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA in 2003. From 2003 to 2008 he was a hospitalist for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Bryn Mawr Community Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. On July 1, 2009 Dr.Eison will begin laboratory reseach training in the laboratory of Dr. KU Malik, Department of Pharmacology, UTHSC on the project "Effect IgA1-complexes on ACE2 in mesangial cells." Dr. Jan Novak at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and Dr. Robert Wyatt will serve as part of the mentoring team and collaborators on the project.
