Welcome to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center's
OUTREACH Center. The Mission of (UTOC) is to seek to improve the overall
health of underserved and isolated populations through innovative
approaches to education, research, and service.The purpose of the UTOC
is to ensure a financially sustainable environment in which UTHSC can
improve the overall health of underserved and isolated populations through
innovatiove approaches to education, research and service. The
University of Tennessee's Outreach Center will focus on the following
Strategic Issue Areas: 1. Strengthen outreach infrastructure within
UTHSC 2. Facilitate and improve funding to UTOC through service,
education and research programs. 3. Develop new and expanded program
opportunities through collaboration on innovative, sustainable health
projects. 4. Conduct and coordinate UTHSC outreach to improve community
relations and public education to develop regional support for University
initiatives.
