Investigated correlation between
findings on computed-tomography and facial paralysis in a series of patients
with temporal bone fractures from The Regional Medical Center at Memphis
Level One Trauma Center, using three-dimensional reconstruction of computed-tomographic
images and Stealth Station Image-Guided Software, 1996.
Showed histologic evidence of complete
destruction of vestibular hair cells in a frog model given endolymphatic
hydrops by surgically occluding its endolymphatic duct, from aminoglycosides
delivered to the frog's vestibular system via a surgically-placed catheter,
to investigate the effects of intratympanic perfusion of aminoglycosides
in patients with Meniere's Disease, 1991-1992.
