Airport Clinic
The College of Nursing assumed management of the Bobbitt Health Station at Memphis International Airport as of July 1, 2003. This nurse practitioner staffed site provides a variety of services to airport passengers, visitors, and employees. College of Nursing nurse practitioners are now providing care under a contract with the Memphis International Airport Authority. Passenger needs vary from airsickness to migraine headaches to forgetting their diabetes care supplies. Visitors may drop in if they injure themselves or feel ill while waiting for family and friends. Employees appreciate the convenience of blood pressure and weight monitoring, along with health education and other primary care activities.
