New DNP Student Receives Excellence in Nursing Award
Janet G. Campbell ARNP-C, COHN-S will be joining the Fall 2006, DNP class this July. Ms. Campbell is employed with the Veteran Administration and functions in the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioner and clinic manager of the Occupational Health Clinic. She has been recently recognized in May 2006 through receipt of The Secretary of Veteran's Affairs award for Excellence in Nursing. As a recipient of this award she has demonstrated nursing excellence in multiple criteria including expert nursing competency in nursing practice, effective use of evidence based practice to enhance health care, integrity and adherence to the nursing profession's code of ethics, and through promotion of the nursing image and nursing profession within the community.
In addition to this honor, Ms. Campbell was selected for Employee of the Year through her demonstrated dedication to customer service, professional contributions, leadership, and community involvement.
