Programs of Study
Programs of study are offered at the graduate level. Each academic year consist of two 20-week terms (e.g., Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring).
Graduate:
- Master of Science - Nursing (MSN) Clinical Nurse Leader
The Master's Entry CNL program prepares non-nurses for initial licensure as registered nurses and certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader.
The BSN-CNL MSN program trains licensed RN’s with a BSN degree in a 2-year part-time web-enhanced academic experience leading to a MSN degree.
- Master of Science - Nursing (MSN)
Nurse Anesthesia
The MSN - CRNA program offers BSN prepared nurses an opportunity to become an advanced practice nurse in Nurse Anesthesia.
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The DNP educates students for leadership roles in specialized areas of advanced practice.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
The PhD prepares nurse scientists for successful research careers in academia, government, and the healthcare industry.
- Doctor of Nursing Practice/Doctor of Philosophy (DNP/PhD)
The DNP/PhD provides highly motivated and qualified students with an integrated advanced clinical and research program of study.
The UTHSC College of Nursing is a member of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Electronic Campus for distance education courses, programs and services offered through many institutions of higher education in the southeastern United States.
