Hallie Bensinger, MSN, FNP, RNC, has been an instructor with the UT Health Science Center since May 2007.  She earned her BSN from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1986 and her MSN from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 2001.  She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Prior to joining the faculty at UTHSC, she worked in highly specialized field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  She has held NCC certification in that field since 1995 and maintains that certification still.  In addition to serving as an instructor in the subjects of Reproductive Health, Health Assessment and Adult Health, she maintains a clinical practice with Memphis Obstetrics and Gynecology in their St. Frances/Bartlett office one day per week.  In her practice, she sees women for health issues across the lifespan and serves as preceptor to MSN students.

An avid historian and lover of genealogy, she is a member of the Zachariah Davies Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the Revolution and serves as a chapter officer.

She is the author of the book, “Conversations and Ducktales,” a book chronicling family history and delightful stories about her grandmother.

Other interests include photography, travel and spending time with her family.
