The HELP Center's Project Process

To become a Center Project, individuals/projects must meet the following criteria:

1. Housed within a research/evaluation framework.
2. Relevant to clinical practice.
3. Address concepts related to HELP Center mission.
4. Have at team of multidisciplinary investigators that includes a College of Nursing faculty member.
5. IRB approved or covered within the HELP Center Repository Consent.

Application Process to Obtain Center Project Status:

1. Meet criteria for Center Project.
2. Complete HELP Center project application form.
3. Submit IRB application or project (clinical or research) overview.
4. Submit completed application to Business Manager. The Business Manager will review the application for completeness, assign the project a HELP Center number, and route to Executive Committee.

HELP Center Project Review Process

1. Business Manager completes economic review.
2. The Help Center Review Committee completes logistical/feasibility review.
3. The Scientific Review Committee will advise on merit of the project and offer scientific guidance.
4. Each reviewer determines if the project is approved, disapproved, or questionable.
5. Center Director compiles the reviews and prepares a formal letter of approval or disapproval within 60 days of the application date.
