Practice Programs
The practice goal of the HELP Center is to provide avenues for multidisciplinary clinicians to develop and evaluate culturally sensitive interventions for individuals with chronic conditions, and their families. Targeted programs assist individuals in reducing their health risks and decreasing sequalar from chronic conditions including obesity, transplantation, diabetes, smoking, and mental health issues.
Clinical Resources

Cardiovascular endurance testing complete with adequate human resources:
- Exercise Physiology Researcher
- Board Certified Nurse
- Practitioner
- Research Technician

Equipment for all populations:
- Obese and Adolescent Populations
- Handicap Accessible

Space
The HELP Center consists of 3600 sq. ft divided into three patient exam rooms, a procedure room, a counseling area, a group therapy room, a waiting area, a receptionist’s area, a patient interview area, storage rooms for filing patient records, and seven offices. It is conveniently located for research subjects and clinical patients at 920 Madison, where many university health care providers have offices.

Depending on available funding and reimbursement potential The Help Center can provide both clinical and research support, in addition to space. The following can be negotiated:
- Patient Scheduling during business hours
- Insurance Billing
- Maintain Demographic Database
- IRB Approved Repository Consent
Equipment
- Exercise Tolerance Testing Centralized Medical Records
- 12 lead EKG with Report Scales appropriate for obese patients
- Centrifuges -86 C Freezer
