D. Timmons, M.D., Ph.D.
Biography
In Brief: Dr. Timmons attended
the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign,
earning a B.S. in Honors
Biology in 1987, and a B.A. in Rhetoric
in 1988. She attended the University
of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and received her
M.D. in 1991. She received training in the Department
of General Surgery at the University of Tennessee, Memphis
(now known as the University of
Tennessee Health Science Center) from 1991-1992, and the Department
of Neurosurgery from 1992-1997. In 1996, Dr. Timmons began
work toward her Ph.D. in the University of Tennessee, Memphis
Department of Anatomy
and Neurobiology, and completed her degree in 2002;.
