The Department of Molecular Sciences has post-docs performing cutting edge research in areas such as microbial pathogenesis, immunology, viral pathogenesis, and cell biology. Post-docs have the opportunity to present their research in the departmental seminar series and participate in journal clubs.

The post-doctoral association formed at UTHSC (UTPhDA) won an award from the National Postdoctoral Association (Link here) as the best new Post-Doctoral Association. UTPhDA organizes an annual Post-doc Research Day, Travel Awards, career guidance seminars, and social events.

The department of Molecular Sciences is committed to providing our post-doctoral fellows with the necessary skills to enter the next phase of their careers whether government, industry, or academia.
