ADDRESS CHANGE REPORTING
All home address changes must be reported to the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services within 10 days after moving. This is the procedure for reporting your change of address: F-1 status: report address changes to International Affairs and via the Student Information System. J-1 status: report address changes to International Affairs and Payroll. International Affairs will then update your address in the electronic SEVIS system, which constitutes your compliance with the address reporting requirement.
If you are not in F-1 or J-1 status, you must report all address changes to the Immigration Service online or via mail on form AR-11 within 10 days after your move. If you use the online reporting tool, you will get a confirmation number, which you should print out and keep. All persons (excluding F-1 and J-1) subject to Special Registration, must report their address change on form AR-11SR. Persons subject to Special Registration cannot use the online address reporting tool.
Please notify the Office of International Affairs every time your mailing and/or e-mail address changes. Immigration regulations require that we have a current address for you at all times, and we need to be able to contact you with important information from our office.
