The Department of Internal Medicine welcomes you to this website. We hope you find it informative & easy to use. Since 1892, the Department of Internal Medicine has endeavored to provide the best in patient care & medical education to the midsouth community.
The department consists of over 100 faculty and 160 residents & fellows. We have access to extraordinary patient populations in multiple locations. We utilize the resources provided by the Regional Medical Center at Memphis, a classic public hospital; the Veteran's Administration Medical center at Memphis, which is the newest VA Hospital in America with state-of-the-art diagnostic and information systems; Methodist University Hospital and Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis, two not-for-profit community hospitals with both full-time and volunteer faculty contributing to a high quality educational experience.
