UTHSC Sick Leave Bank
The Sick Leave Bank provides the opportunity for eligible employees to invest
some of their accrued sick leave in the Bank. Members of the Bank can request
time from the bank for serious illness or injury, after they have exhausted all
their accrued leave. In addition, membership allows other University employees
to directly donate time to the member after all other time has been exhausted.

Open enrollment for Sick Leave Bank is conducted in April, May and June of
each year. Enrollment forms will be submitted to Human Resources, Benefits, 910
Madison, Suite 727 by June 30 of each year. The cost of the initial enrollment
into the bank for full time employees is 24 hours of an employee's sick leave,
with pro-rated amounts for part-time employees. Each employee who joins must
have at least 48 hours of sick leave in their account as of June 30 to be
eligible to enroll.
