Cisco VPN Clients for Mac OS X
You can view the release notes for the version in a PDF file. There are also instructions for how to uninstall this package.
1. Download the client to the desktop and open CiscoVPNClient.dmg or Cisco-VPN-Client-Panther.dmg
- OS 10.2 (Jaguar) client
- OS 10.3 (Panther) client
- OS 10.4 (Tiger) client
- OS 10.5 (Leopard) client
- OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard): This video shows how to configure Snow Leopard's built in vpn client
(Note: due to its size, this file may not be viewable off campus. On campus, you may have to refresh the page that displays this video. A more web friendly version of this video will appear here soon).
2. Disk Copy will extract the VPN client files.
3. Open Cisco VPN Client.mpkg
4. An administrative account login is required to install.
5. Click continue to install.
6. Click continue when the license is displayed.
7. Click agree to accept the license.
8. Select the hard drive as the destination disk.
9. Click install for the installation to start.
10. Client installs and then you should get a installation successful.
Click Close and then reboot the machine.
11. NOTE: After the initial installation, you should reboot your machine
before continuing. Once you restart the computer and return to the desktop
you should continue with this step. Open the applications folder and click on VPN Client.
12. The VPN Client opens. Double click on the utmem entry to connect.
13. Enter your NetID and password to authenticate.
14. The login banner is displayed. Click continue.
15. Open your web browser and go to http://pcnet.utmem.edu.
This page will test your VPN connection. If you are successful, you will
get the screen below.
If your VPN client is not configured or not installed correctly, you will see
the following web page.
