Meet the Vice Chancellor
Michael R. Caudle, MD
Dr. Caudle has served as Vice Chancellor for Health System Affairs since 2005 and assumed responsibility for Governmental Relations in 2007. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended medical school at Wake Forest University. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia in 1981.
Previously Dr. Caudle served as chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for 10 years and then served as the dean of the UT Graduate School of Medicine from 1995-2005.
During his almost 25 years working for the University of Tennessee, Dr. Caudle has developed a particular interest in improving health care in rural Tennessee and oversees the development and growth of UTHSC’s statewide health and education network.
