The programs of Anatomy
and Neurobiology, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Sciences (biochemistry,
microbiology, and immunology), Pathology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology,
and Physiology are participants in an interdisciplinary program within the
College of Graduate Health Sciences. This program provides graduate students
with a rich and diversified graduate experience. Students in the Interdisciplinary
Program will be able to choose a mentor from any of the participating graduate
programs. An important component of this program is tutorial-based learning.
The interdisciplinary program brings together faculty with complementary
research expertise and a common interest in graduate education from the
University of Tennessee Health Science Center along with neighboring affiliated
institutions, including St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Veteran's Administration Medical
Center.
