Integrated Program in Biomedical Sciences

Neuroscience Electives

The Neuroscience Track requires students to enroll in Neuroscience Seminar (ANAT 821) in both semesters of the first year and second year. Enrollment in Neuroscience Symposium (ANAT 826) is required for the Spring semester each year. Students are required to take Functional Neuroanatomy (ANAT 827) and at least two of the following neuroscience electives: Cellular Neuroscience (ANAT 823), Developmental and Molecular Neuroscience (ANAT 825), and Behavioral Neuroscience (ANAT 841).

A statistics course is highly recommended.

Sometime after the first year, students will be required to serve as teaching assistants in the laboratory portion of the medical neuroanatomy course for two terms. If possible, students should take Functional Neuroanatomy (ANAT 827) before completing this teaching requirement.
