and immunology. Included are lectures on classification, morphology,
Gram staining, attachment, structure, culture, metabolism, identification
and colonization of microorganisms, periodontopathic bacteria, bacterial
metabolism, virulence factors, and attachment mechanisms. Host defense
presentations include lectures on T and B cells, antigens, mitogens,
antibody-mediated reactions, complement, humoral and cell mediated
interactions, cytokines, laboratory immunologic assays and their clinical
significance. |
