Our department consists of
two residency training programs located in
Memphis and
Jackson and a rural health
training site in
Covington.
Our
residency programs
have a long
tradition of training compassionate, full service
family physicians. Our graduates serve in all types of practice
settings to include academic medical centers. We are very proud that over 65% of our graduates are in active practice throughout
the great State of Tennessee. This
web site was designed for
medical
students,
residents,
faculty,
practicing physicians and patients.
See the options below to learn more about our outstanding
student,
resident, and
fellow training programs. Patients can use this site to
learn how to access our patient care facilities. We want everyone to
have the best experience when accessing our educational or patient care
programs. We are proud to serve you!

M3 Clerkship Placement
Survey Form, 2009-2010
We provide a comprehensive training
program for medical students from all year groups. Our third year
clerkship program offers the student a challenging curriculum with a
broad spectrum of patients to learn the basics of family medicine.
The student will gain an appreciation of the breadth of family medicine
and the many career opportunities available to
them.

Residents

Our three year program provides residents an excellent experience and
prepares them to practice in any of the settings available to family
physicians.
 |
Our

We also have an

Family Medicine Center
- We provide patient and
family-centered care for children and adults of all ages, to include
pregnant patients. Our focus is on the prevention of disease, and
when that fails, we treat patients with all types of medical conditions.
In addition, we have ob/gyn doctors at our
Memphis

Jackson

for women of all ages. All of our Family Medicine Centers are
educational facilities committed to training the next generation of
Family Physicians
