We look forward to welcoming you to the Hinman Student Research Symposium in Memphis. This is your invitation to be a part of a Symposium featuring poster and oral presentations by students and graduate trainees participating in Dental Research. Abstracts of the presentations will be printed and distributed nationally.

The program consists of competitive scientific sessions with awards for the best presentations, a banquet with a nationally acclaimed speaker, exhibits, and opportunities for getting acquainted with fellow dental students as well as touring our beautiful Bluff City.

The Symposium begins on Friday at noon with registration and poster setup followed by reception and the welcoming banquet. The Symposium continues on Saturday with morning and afternoon scientific sessions and many opportunities for fun and making new friends. Following a tour of Elvis Presley's Graceland Mansion, you'll be on your own for the evening on Beale Street, the "Home of the Blues." On Sunday morning, the scientific sessions will continue and conclude with the presentation of awards.

Memphis offers many opportunities for exploration from the Pyramid, Sun Studios, and boat tours on the river, to the lesser-known but worthwhile National Civil Rights Museum, The Pink Palace Museum, Brooks Art Gallery, Dixon Gardens, and the unique Ornamental Metal Museum with a spectacular view of the mighty Mississippi. Tree-shaded parks and neighborhoods, good food, and warm Southern hospitality await you.

Early November in Memphis is the peak of the fall color season with some of the best weather of the year - sunny and warm in the daytime and pleasantly cool in the evening.

Because everyone who participates contributes to recognizing student efforts in research, the Symposium won't be complete without you.
