Preparations are underway at The College of Dentistry of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for the Hinman Student Research Symposium, to be held in the historic Peabody -- The South's Grand Hotel. The Symposium will recognize research efforts of students nationwide.

This is your invitation to be a part of a symposium featuring research poster and oral presentations from which abstracts will be printed and distributed nationally. The program will consist of scientific sessions with awards for the best presentations, a banquet with a nationally-known speaker, exhibits, and opportunities for getting acquainted with fellow dental students as well as touring our beautiful Bluff City with a tour of Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion and visits to Beale Street, the "Home of the Blues."

We will make travel awards available to one dental student from each of the participating dental schools to help defray expenses for the trip to Memphis. One additional student from each school is invited to attend with travel support from their institution. Hotel accommodations for two nights, the Welcoming Banquet, breakfast for two days, lunch on Saturday, as well as the entry fee and transportation for the Graceland visit will be provided by the Symposium's co-sponsors for up to two students from each school.

Application forms, schedules, and other information will be posted at http://homepage.mac.com/elthomas100/hinman. You may also write or call:
