EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS


The process of dental education is vigorous and demanding. The College of Dentistry is committed to assisting students in achieving their educational goals and in adjusting to the special demands of being successful students.

A number of support services and programs are available to enrolled dental students. The College of Dentistry offers the following:

GRADUATE AND RESIDENCY PROGRAMS


The College of Dentistry offers graduate training leading to the fulfillment of specialty board requirements in Dental Specialties:

  • Advanced Education in General Dentistry

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - the art and science of diagnosis, surgical and related treatment of diseases, injuries, defects, and aesthetic aspects of the oral and maxillofacial area (jaws and face)

  • Orthodontics - diagnosis and treatment of any malocclusion of the teeth

  • Pediatric Dentistry - prevention and treatment of dental diseases in children

  • Periodontics - the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease of the tissue surrounding teeth ans supporting implants

  • Prosthodontics - involves crowns, fixed partial dentures (bridges), removable partial dentures, complete dentures, maxillofacial prostheses, and implant prostheses
