From Former Chairperson (Hong Yuan)

Hi, Everybody,

I got the honor to be the president of the CSSA-UTMEM in 1999-2000.  It is really a good chance for me to serve all the Chinese students, as well as postdoc-s, their relatives, and so on.  I just like this group.  I have never seen a group like this:
help each other so well,  be united so tightly,  and work & study so hard.  I have been proud of it since I became
one of it,  because I got so much help on the first day when  I arrived at Memphis.   It is the treasure of UT,  and I
want to keep this spirit and morale continuing and developing.

Frankly speaking,  I may not have the quite ability to preside over the Association.  The thing that I can do mostly
is to collect all the suggestion from you,  organize some entertainment with you,  or do communication with other
associations out of UT or Memphis. I know all of us are so busy to fulfill our  main  work, which is the most important
thing to keep in our mind.  I will  do my best to make our spare time more interesting and funny,   and also do hope
I can get  support from each of you.  If someone has some interest, suggestion, idea or complain,  feel free to contact
with me.
