Crisis Center of Memphis -- Receive training and then take a shift on a 24 hour crisis hotline; provide listening support for callers and make referrals related to a variety of crises. Dismas House -- Prepare and serve evening meals, or help with GED and literacy with persons recently paroled and now living in this transitional support community. Friends for Life -- Provide AIDS information and support services, or help prepare meals for semi-monthly gatherings. Hope House -- Assist children who are HIV affected or effected. Mental Health Association Compeer Program -- Serve as a peer companion and give support to an adult or youth in the area of mental health. Planned Parenthood Women in Community Service (WICS) YWCA Abused Women's Services -- Assist with a 24 hour crisis line, women's emergency shelter, support services, and women's resource center.
