Clinical Centers
The Regional Medical Center (aka The MED) is a tertiary referral center as well as one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation. Cardiology provides coverage for both a CCU service as well as a lively consultative service. It was home to the first cardiac cath lab in the city and continues to provide an excellent teaching base for fellows, residents, and students.
The
Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Memphis is a 293-bed tertiary referral
hospital serving Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi. It is home
to a busy CICU and consult service and provides excellent clinical experience
and procedural volume for fellows rotating through the hospital. Great exposure
to busy cath and noninvasive labs as well as nuclear experience.
Methodist
University Hospital. A new partner with UT, this 690-bed hospital will
provide vast clinical opportunities in the years to come, with eventual
plans for a CCU/Consult service. It currently serves as the base for our
Electrophysiology rotation.
