Mission
The Office of Campus Recreation is the focal point for recreational
opportunities at UTHSC. Our staff believes that physical activity plays a vital
role in the development and maintenance of a "healthy, well-adjusted"
individual. The diverse activities and programs offered by The Office of Campus
Recreation are a means to educate participants, provide opportunities for group
and individual competition, provide opportunities for social and personal
interaction between students, provide assessment and guidance in the area of
health-related fitness, provide opportunities for spouse and dependent
participation, and to provide student leadership opportunities. The Office of
Campus Recreation and Student Recreation Center are located at 800 Madison Ave.
Room 312.
The mission of the Office of Campus Recreation at The University of Tennessee
Health Science Center is to provide recreational and social opportunities to the
campus and surrounding community which encourage a lifelong commitment to
health. Our passion is to assist in the development of the individual
physically, mentally and emotionally through our programs in a way that is
inviting to all.
