Early
Intervention Manual
Project Building Blocks (PBB) was a community-based model
for training teams of professionals to become leaders in Early
Intervention. The project began in July 1999 and was completed
in June 2002. Through this project, teams were recruited,
formed, and trained in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi
to provide training in early intervention, advocacy, and policymaking
skills in the area of early intervention.
We have a manual available that was developed to share the
PBB model. This manual is the culmination of the three years
of work in training leaders in our communities. It includes
information on the history of the disability movement, inclusion,
family/person-centered practices, transition, service coordination,
advocacy, and policymaking. The manual also includes a speakers
list for Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
