Since the events of Katrina and Rita, more emphasis has been placed on emergency managment and preparedness for the general public. Agencies and advocates have actively sought to ensure that persons with disabilities are not fogotten. Here are some resources.

Local Resources - Memphis Public Library - The Government Publications department has added a Katrina and other disaster-related relieft secion to the Gov Pubs section at the Central Library Lobby 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. These materials deal with disaster relieft, survival, etc. and feature governemtn documents from FEMA. There are also samples of materials that are available on teh web such as Katrina FAQs from FirstGov, Red Cross Family Links, and Department of Homeland Security links to many governement agencies. A one page handout lisitng the web addresses accessed for the display is on the window ledge.
