Adding Instructors
While you can add as many faculty/course administrators as you'd like to, we caution against adding everyone as an instructor. These users will have access to the Control Panel and will be able to access the sections that you would like for them to access. There are different kinds of users in a Blackboard course site.
Student
User is able to access all available course content and will be graded on assessments.
Instructor
User is able to control all aspects of the course through the Control Panel.
Teacher's Assistant
User is able to control most aspects of the course through the Control Panel. A Teacher's Assistant cannot change a user's course role.
Grader
User is able to access all areas under Assessments.
Course Builder
User is able to add content to the course through the Content Areas and the Course Tools in the Control Panel.
To add the user to your course, log in to your course and go to CONTROL PANEL>User Management. If the user does not have a Blackboard account, they first must have a NetID. They will then need to request an account: http://www.utmem.edu/bb/request.php. If s/he does already have an account, click on Enroll User. (If you're not sure, do a quick check under Enroll User!).
