The following was taken from the September 24, 2001 issue of the Washington Post:

"At the area's two largest health care employers, worker shortages remain despite the tougher times. At the end of a week in which tens of thousands of layoffs were announce, Inova Health Systems had 777 job openings - 246 for registered nurses, according to its Web site. Cooks, Secretaries, accountants, pharmacists, physical therapists and environmental service aides are also being recruited by Inova, which operates hospitals, urgent care centers, nursing homes and other health-related bushiness in Northern Virginia"
