Master of Occupational Therapy
The primary mission of the department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is to facilitate the provision of quality occupational therapy services to meet the health care needs of the citizens of Tennesee by preparing competent occupational therapy practitioners who are eligible for certification.
The Master of Occupational Therapy program graduated its first class in 2007. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as occupational therapists. The program ranked in the top 100 of graduate schools in Occupational Therapy (58) in the 2008 US News and World Report.
With campuses located in Chattanooga and Memphis, the entry level master's program in Occupational Therapy has the unique opportunity to include health concerns of rural and urban communities while providing cost effective health care education.
