Graduate Program in Dental Hygiene

SUMMER WORKSHOP 2010

Summer Week 2010 is scheduled for July 19-23 in Memphis, TN. Students will meet on the UT Campus located at 930 Madison Avenue, Suite 600. 

Entering students participate in orientation sessions, advanced clinical education presentations and workshops (no scrubs required; dress code is sent approximately one month prior to summer week), and interact with returning students.  Returning students present on timely educational topics in Dental Hygiene Education as well as attend various lectures and other activities designed for advanced students. 

On Thursday afternoon of MDH Week, students are encouraged to blog, sleep, shop, visit Graceland, Beale Street, the Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studios and other Memphis attractions.  This was added to encourage students to get to know one another and reflect on what the student has learned.  This is a very important part of adult learning.

NOTE:  Attendance at all sessions is mandatory for entering and returning students so please make provisions to be in Memphis, on campus, beginning on Monday morning’s first session through Friday, July 23, 2010 at noon.  It is advised that flights can be booked as early as 2:00 PM on Friday.  Approximately one month prior a final agenda will be sent by email.
