We are pleased you are interested in the graduate program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Memphis! Clinical laboratory scientists have an opportunity through this non-traditional program to obtain a graduate degree, while continuing to practice full-time. This program of post-professional advanced study leads to the Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences degree.

This Program is designed for clinical laboratory scientists desiring to:

• engage in graduate study on a part-time basis without having to quit their job, although full-time study is also an option

• understand and manage the effects of managed care without sacrificing quality

• strengthen their expertise in:
  administration

  federal and state laws regulating the laboratory

  financial issues affecting the laboratory

  training student and laboratory personnel

• improve their communication and problem-solving skills

• enhance their career options
