Why I chose UT-Jackson: It was important for me to stay close to friends and family in Memphis. I was so excited to find a program close to home that
not only met my needs for residency, but far surpassed my expectations. The residents are happy, which is essential in a great program. The faculty are
excellent. They act not only as mentors but also friends and extended family.
Things I want people to know about me: I've wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid so this is a dream come true. I enjoy helping my patients and strive to
give the kind of care I would want for myself or a member of my family. Family medicine allows me to do as much as possible medically for the greatest
number of patients. I also speak Spanish fluently, and love to teach medical spanish to anyone interested.

me! For those applying for residency, I spent 2 months at UTFP in Jackson as a medical student, and this experience confirmed how much I wanted to train here
for residency.
