TaJuana O. Redmond is responsible for coordinating two NIH grants.  The first is Memphis Science Partners which exposes k-12th grade students to science exploration and biomedical sciences through UTHSC sponsored science labs near the campus. The second grant is Building Bridges to Health Science Literacy which trains k-12 grade teachers in Problem Based Learning techniques.   Ms. Redmond earned two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from The University of Mississippi and began teaching high school in 1993.  After moving to Memphis to teach for Memphis City Schools in 1997 she earned a Masters in Education from Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, TN in 2001. She taught for MCS for eight years and has been with UTHSC since the Fall of 2003.  Ms. Redmond is a native of Oxford, MS.
