![]() Training TracksCategorical Internal Medicine - (NRMP # 1844140CO)A three year curriculum designed to prepare the resident for academic or general internal medicine, subspecialty training or a career as a hospitalist. We offer 20-23 positions yearly.
* To include total of 2 months of cardiology and 2 months of CICU Primary Care Internal Medicine - (NRMP # 1844140MO)This three year training program provides excellent preparation for the practice of general internal medicine. Approximately 45-50% of the resident's experiences occur in an out-patient setting. We offer 2-3 positions yearly.
There is a Women's Health Track accessed by matching in primary care. Residents in this track spend most of their ambulatory months in electives such as osteoporosis clinic, breast clinic, reproductive endocrinology, office gynecology, and urogynecology. Medicine/Pediatrics - (NRMP # 1844700CO)This combined four year training program leads to board eligibility in both Medicine and Pediatrics. This is an ideal mechanism to acquire the skills necessary to provide total family oriented care. The majority of our residents who complete this program enter practices that encompass both adult and children. Our Medicine/ Pediatrics program is one of the largest and oldest in the country. Eight to ten residents are selected annually.

Preliminary Year - (NRMP # 1844140PO)This is a one year training program in Internal Medicine that meets the educational needs of residents who plan to pursue non-internal medicine specialty training or who are undecided about their ultimate career plans. This"internshp" is characterized by a flexible curriculum with fewer ward rotations and more elective time. The resident can choose electives that will enhance his or her future training. We offer 8-10 positions yearly.
Hospitalist TrackDesigned to keep up with the ever-changing demands of Internal Medicine, we have designed a track specifically for those interested in hospitalist careers. This track includes rotations in hospital administration, critical care procedures, and internal medicine consults, as well as a month spent with a hospitalist.
